Most doctors will agree that breast milk is the best option to give your baby what he or she needs to grow and develop. Unfortunately some women are unable to produce milk or may have difficulty breast feeding. Other women find that it just doesnt fit into their lifestyle, but they still want to give their babies a good start. Organic formula will fill that gap.

Organic formulas also contain all the nutrients, DHA, and ARA that aid with brain development in the newborn. There are soy based formulas as well for babies who are lactose intolerant. Feeding a natural formula ensures healthy bones, teeth, skin, hair, nails and good muscle development. Even if you choose to breast feed, there are toddler formulas for children who are weaned. Some moms find that an organic formula aids in the weaning process.

Once the baby is on solid foods there are lots of organic baby foods on the market. These fruits and vegetables are organically grown without the use of pesticides. Some of these foods are jarred and others are flash frozen to retain the nutrients. Cereals are also from organically raised grains. We dont really know all the harmful effects the use of pesticides can cause, so why take any chance at all? If youre into an organic lifestyle, you probably already shop in an organic grocery store. Even regular grocery stores are carrying more and more natural products so they are not hard to find.

The other option is to make your own baby food. Youll know exactly what is in it and it can be made fresh or made ahead of time and frozen. Of course you could also use a food processor or blender. Organic formula and organic baby food will get your child off to a healthy start in life.
